Sarah Grimke and Handful Grimke are two different races brought together by love and equality . Sarah feels that slavery is wrong and wants no part in it.
She and her sister Nina Grimke set out to stop the growth of slavery in the south and to inform the north of the troublesome acts. Sarah's mother is shamed by the girls way. Soon Carlson has banned the girls from ever coming back and seeing their mother and the people they love. Meanwhile, Handful is in search for facts about her mother's disappearance, but at the same time Handful must stay in her place. Handful's mother returns with a shock to the whole Grimke household, also with the story on how she was sold. Handful is waiting for the day her freedom will come, and Sarah is waiting for the chance to give it to her.Often in some ones life there is a person whom you can tell everything to. Its a person that will never tell a soul. Handful and Sarah are the prime example of that relationship. The Invention of Wings is a book that will warm the ages in its power of love for each other. When you sit and read this joy of a book you'll get wings and fly right into Sarah's and Handful's life head on. Sue Monk Kidd writes to tell the history of our country and show that love comes in all ways. This is a book that warms the heart and soul, and will keep the pages turning.
Enjoy the read,

Austin, I still think that's a beautiful sentence: "When you sit and read this joy of a book you'll get wings and fly right into Sarah's and Handful's life head on." Good luck on your blog!
